This article examines the issues of forming school buildings based on the analysis of modern trends aimed at modernizing and improving typical design solutions for school institutions in the Syrian Arab Republic. Four key principles of forming school buildings in Syrian cities are identified: the principle of architectural identity, the principle of functional and spatial dynamism, the principle of positive interaction with the environment, and the principle of multifunctionality.
