  • Framed steel earthquake-resistant structures comparative analysis of traditional design principles

    The article describes the main problems associated with the principles of calculation and design of building structures of buildings and structures in seismically active areas in accordance with the provisions of the regulatory document SP 14.13330.2018. The difficulties that may arise when using foreign regulatory requirements in terms of design and calculation are noted. The calculation of a flat steel multi-story frame for the main and special combination of loads and impacts is considered. The frame calculation for a special combination is performed according to SP 14.13330.2018 with and without taking into account the additional requirements of foreign design standards ASCE / SEI 7-22, ANSI / AISC 341-22. The requirements of foreign standards were not taken into account in full, but only in terms of increasing the reliability of the structure, for certain positions. The change in the parameter of the frame metal consumption for various calculation options is analyzed. Conclusions are formulated and recommendations are given on how to reduce the metal consumption when calculating for seismic impact, taking into account the increase in the reliability of building structures.

  • Framed steel earthquake-resistant structures traditional design principles

    The main means of seismic protection for increasing the seismic resistance of buildings and structures are described. The main problems associated with the design of special seismic protection equipment are outlined. The basic requirements for the design and calculations of steel frame frames taking into account seismic impact in accordance with the current design standards in the Russian Federation are analyzed. There is an insufficient description of the requirements specified in the standards for performing calculations and design of structures and their connections. Recommendations and instructions are given for taking into account the requirements of the standards for the design of steel frame frames. Schematic diagrams of special units for coupling columns with crossbars, necessary for design in seismically hazardous areas, are presented. Conclusions are formulated.

  • On the environmental friendliness of electric vehicles

    This article addresses a number of issues related to the environmental friendliness of motor vehicles. Modern trends in the transition of the market to electric vehicles, and the problem of recycling and recycling of electric vehicle elements are considered. It was revealed that the transition from cars from ICE to electric vehicles is not yet fully justified from the point of view of ecology.

  • Diagnosis of psychophysiological and emotional state of the human operator

      Various non-invasive assessment of psycho-physiological and emotional state were analyzed: the fractal estimation of speech signals, the analysis of rhythmic EEG patterns and computer stabilometry. The results allowing  prediction of the transition of the individual in a particular state, were obtained and objective criteria for determining the individual personality as a specialist were identified.
